    Thanks for your interesting comments and feedback to our research.

    Short answers to your questions:
    1. Generation X vs. Generation Y
    Certainly this is a very important issue for our research. We addressed in our approach as we interviewed both a member of Generation X (the second interviewed boundary spanner between IT and HR) and a member of Generation Y (the first interviewed boundary spanner between IT and finance).
    2. Importance of loyalty and identification
    We absolutely agree with this colleague that trust and loyalty are the basis for building up a joint attention frame. However as the objective of our research was to identify boundary spanners and their related skills we didn't address these issues in this paper. But this could be a tremdendously interesting field for our future research.
